We want to help you gain more insight into the various ways intraoral elastics are used. In part 1 of this 5 part elastic series we start with class 2 & 3 elastics. We cover what type of elastic to use and which teeth to attach it to.
For both class 2 and class 3 malocclusions we recommend our 5/16th heavy elastics. When you’re showing your patient how to attach these you want to make sure to do so using an elastic attacher since they will be going home with that tool. For a class 2 you will want to connect your elastic from upper 3 down to the lower 6. For a class 3 you will want to connect from the upper 6 down to the lower 3. We show you in this video demonstration exactly how it’s done. Watch and learn more.
