In part 1 and 2 of our elastic series we covered Class 2 & 3 Elastics and Vertical Elastics.
Cross elastics are up next and we will be highlighting these in part 3 of our series.
Before we get into specifics let’s remember the concept of anchorage, we want to give more strength to whatever we want to keep in place and less strength to what we are working to move. For the cross elastics we recommend our Jupiter elastics. When showing the patient how to put on the elastics you want to be sure to use an elastic attacher since that is what they will be using at home.
